Voice Intercom for Sonos App Reviews

Its choppy at best, unusable overall. No matter where you are. Terrible.

The app crashes everytime when its looking for the Sonos speakers.

I used this as a sort of one-way intercom. It worked, although sometimes it crashed. Ever since I updated to ios8, it doesnt work in the least. Looking forward to this app getting updated so we can have our "intercom" back :)

Fix the Echo and this app would be ok.

Love the capability of being able to use my iPhone as a mic for my Sonos system, but the sound cuts out after a few seconds or as soon as phone auto locks. Also, the echo / feedback is pretty bad, which is think the software could help to filter out.

Enough said. This isnt a minor issue. The app took my money and gave me a non functioning app in return. Glitches out every time within 10 seconds of talking. Echo is completely uncontrollable.

New version works very well making sonos speakers announcement system. Will even resume song after voice announcement.

Not sure why people are complaining about the echo. If you are close enough to the speakers being used causing you to get an echo, then you probably do not need to use this in the first place. Just yell. Works good. One of the better Sonos integrations Ive seen. Sonos is not a big fan of helping people integrate with their system. The voice comes out clear and loud but not so loud that you need to worry about speaker damage. Not the fastest. But it is about as fast as Sonos native app so really cant complain about that. People also complain about the delay. Well, it is a Sonos thing, and once again if you are close enough to the zone being used that you hear the delay then dont use the app and just yell. I would give it 5 stars but I have an issue when grouping more then 4 zones. But Im sure that could be fixed in the next version. I tried it out after reading the creators post in the Sonos forum. Sounds like he is willing to continue support for this.

Works 1% of the time. Crashes the rest even with most recent updates. More reliable to talk through a can on a string or just walk to the other room.

Crashes every time I adjust the volume. Running on iPhone 6 iOS 8.1.3

I work in the home automation world installing home automation systems. Ive had numerous customers ask for this feature, when were doing 9+ zones of audio this feature is a handy tool to either show off to people or gather the family for meals. I hope this app gets more support from sonos, Im calling my sales rep today to try and get some action. Thank you again this will definitely be a helpful tool to help sell the sonos product line.

Great idea. But no instructions. Also it crashes constantly. But mostly, it doesn’t do what it is supposed to do. Not once. Apple should remove this product until they make it functional.

I didnt expect much based on the reviews but it worked fine for me. It scares my kids when they are in my office...love it. Same lag you get with airport express via line in. Guys you get feedback...dont use this when you are adjacent or near the sonos speakers. You would get the same feedback with most mics near the speaker. Its really 3.5 stars because it could be better but rounded up.

Its a cute idea but doesnt work even for a quick laugh...bummed I wasted $1, but also glad I didnt spend any more.

Stay away, cant use no matter what part of my apartment Im in theres a terrible echo.

I really wish I had not paid the $.99 for this app. After trying it out, and experiencing the delay in hearing my own voice in any room of the house, it is something that I will likely never use.

This app does not work. I should have known better than to buy it. Sonos is a great system and I love it but this app is useless. It does not work!

I love being able to call the kids without screaming through the house. Works fine for me and its free. Only downside I have seen is it leaves to speaker volume at the level you use on the intercom. Otherwise, its a great little tool.
